Naturalization application may be filed by the applicant if they meet the requirements as referred to in Article 8, namely: 
 1. Has the age of 18 (eighteen) years old or already married;
 2. When applying for already resides in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia for a minimum of five (5)  
     consecutive years or at least 10 (ten) years in a row;
 3. physical and mental health;
 4. Can you speak Indonesian and admitted that the country's policy of Pancasila and the Constitution of the 
     Republic of Indonesia Year 1945.
 5. never been sentenced for a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment of one (1) year or more;
 6. If by acquiring citizenship of the Republic of Indonesia, not be dual nationals; 
 7. Having a job and / or fixed income 
 8. Paying money naturalization to the State Treasury.

The next procedure such application should be written in the Indonesian language on paper bearing. The final decision on the application is the President. If the status is granted by the President, the citizens became effective since the applicant took the oath or pledge of allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia.
